About Me

Hi! I’m Lauren Van Der Linden, a self-taught portrait artist based in Stratford, Ontario. I’ve been drawing and painting photo recreations for over a decade, turning a passion into a profession in 2017 when I started taking commissions. That passion grew into Linden Art: Original Creations, launched in 2018.

Since then, I’ve completed over 20 personal and business commissions, earned a Certificate of Artistic Achievement from Luxembourg in 2021, and my work has found homes across Canada and been seen throughout the U.S.

I specialize in creating highly detailed chalk pastel drawings and acrylic paintings based on your favorite photos—whether it’s a loved one, a pet, or a meaningful place. I love that moment when people do a double take and say, “Wait—that’s a drawing?” It’s what drives me.
